Default Trails in MA for rookie

Anyone willing to show a recent LR convert with a stock 03 DII S some trails in eastern Mass. so I can get comfortable with what she is capable of doing off-road? I have no problem driving a couple hours or so if there is nothing good locally. I am not a total rookie, just haven't had a truck in several years or been off-road in a little longer.

Even if you don't want to ride, just pointing out some good locations would satisfy. Thanks in advance for any help.

MaBell, Florida Rd & Rattlesnake Gutterin western MA. Union CT has a few good trails. RI has some nice trails also.

I plan on hitting MaBell in a few weeks, you can join us if you'd like.

Stock '03 John, no CDL too. MaBell, FL road and the Gutter would be out w/o some carnage.

Yeah, I was curious about that too. I heard no way for me on FL road a while back. I am considering hitting the Guy Fakwes event in NY in Nov.

I am making an effort to get a 2" lift in early Nov. and I may have at least some better tires (265/75/16) next week.

As soon as I get lifted though, I hope to be hooking up more regularly with some of the local guys.

You can always go out and do a ride along, you can learn a lot that way.

Capt,

I sent you a PM about our meeting in NH, don't know if you read it or not. Anyway, we got together in Londenderry with a few guys from MA and NH. They are hitting a trail (easy to moderate) this Sat. I think they have a post on D-90 with more details.

Good luck.

John, I did get the PM, thanks. Too much to squeeze into one week. Ended up meeting up with about 16 guys/girls from Bay State Rover Owner Ass'n last night for beer and cooked meat. Looking at heading up to Unity, ME on Sunday to help with trail maintenance to prep for their Winter Romp.

But you got me thinking about Saturday too. Let me dwell on it and I'll PM you if I am down for it.

thanks again

Russ,

Be sure to sign on to the BSROA yahoo list, there are rides advertised there and a few coming up soon.

Kevin, thanks. I have been on BSROA for a while. When I originally posted, way back when, I was just putting the feelers out to get an idea of who and what is around while still being new and all.

I am planning on that 12/3 ride in western MA and quite possibly heading down to PA next week, (providing my plans don't get screwed up). Are you getting in on anything coming up?

If my power steering conversion is done I'd like to make the 12/3 run in MA.
