☼ Fire up your Land-Rover and observe the longest day of the year ☼
The Summer Solstice only comes around once a year—so why not celebrate? Land-Rover enthusiasts from Southern Missouri will gather at the Lake Springfield Park between 7:00 and 7:30pm on Wednesday, June 21st.
At 7:30 we’ll caravan to a local ice cream eatery for a summer treat. Land-Rovers of all shapes, sizes, years, and “running conditions” are welcome to participate. Don’t have a Land-Rover but still want to hang-out with slightly obsessive British automobile fanatics – no problem.
The purpose of this get together is to develop a loose network of area Land-Rover enthusiasts. E-mail addresses, phone numbers and possibly physical addresses can be exchanged. When someone hears of up-coming Land-Rover and/or British automotive events they could inform others.
Meet up at the Lake Springfield Park – there is a new blue sign at the entrance of the park off Kissick Avenue.
From central Springfield take Fremont Avenue South until it ends in a T. Turn Left at the T and follow Briar Street. Briar Street turns into Kissick Avenue. Lake Springfield Park is on the Left before you go over the dam.
From Highway 65 exit at Evans Road. Take Evans Road West. Evans Road turns into Farm Road 188. Farm Road 188 turns into Kissick Avenue. Pass over the railroad tracks and over the dam. Lake Springfield Park is on the Right.
Look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. If you need additional directions or can’t make it Wednesday but want to be added to the e-mail list, don’t hesitate to contact me.
