My off road club is fixin' to go to Tellico, and I am joining them along with two of my friends tagging along. And I am the only Rover showing up, and was wondering if anyone wanted to come out for a good weekend in mid March. I will have an exact date posted.
This is a fairly big advanced notice, so it would be cool if anyone wanted to come out, and show most of the Jeep and lifted pick ups what a Rover can do.

It is a 5 day thing starting March 21-25 possibly even as far as the 26th.
Hope some guys can make it, it will be fun. My school has no problem having other guys I know riding the trails. It will be like "they were wheeling the same days we were" sorta deal. No worries.
Chow!

Sweetness. I will actually be going on the 22nd and leaving the 25th. I hope it'll warm up a little soon before Tellico so I can get stuff done on the truck. I still have wiring for the lights (I will be doing some night runs, if anyone wants to join for the fun). And I have to adjust my parking brake which requires me to take apart my center console.
But it should be a cool weekend.
Now, I may have been there, but that was last June. Does anyone know the OFFICIAL directions from I-75 coming south from Ohio? All I remember is a road that leads to the campground and the park, that is River Road. But it is a little sketchy for me to remember how to get there officially.

Once you get through Knoxville, you have about 20-30 minutes to the Sweetwater exit. That's Exit #60, TN-Hwy-68. Go left (east) to Tellico Plains. That's where you'll pick up Riverside Drive or Cherohala Skyway (TN-165) by turning left. It veers right and continues as River Road. Somewhere around the 4 or 5 mile mark there will be a fork on the right that you need to take. That'll be River Road again. You'll see signs for the Bald River Falls and fish hatchery. At that point is where the trip really sucks going through the windey road. Good luck. Maybe I'll come out.

i was informed last Wednesday that the National Park wouldn't open til' April 1st, however my college including myself are going to stay at the campground in Murphy, NC. I forget the name of the place but same rate for the same style of campground at the national park right next to Tellico. It is about 7 miles from Tellico and seems like a great place to stay anyways.
So here is my cell to see if we all can't make arrangements to meet/stay at the same campground in Murphy, NC: (313) 802-1094 -Pat
Hope to see y'all there!

The campground we are staying at is "Crawford's Camp" campground. Maybe some of y'all heard of it. Seems real cool, reasonable rates, a workshop for rent, rock garden, gas station, restroom stuff, etc.. Anyways we are staying there. Also is anyone else gonna be there? I haven't got any official word if anyone on here is going, so if so going, PM me.
And if you make to Crawford's, you can't miss me. I'll probably be the ONLY LWB with a white hood.
