if you are trying to post that image, just put on the right of the URL.

Ahh...I see, with an image that is uploaded to a forum server, such as if I upload a picture to LRO, you will not be able to hotlink the picture to another . What you must do in this case is simply re-upload it to LRO or host it through a linkable server.

Once you get to the post-text box area, scroll down and you will see a button lableled "manage attachments", click this and then browse your hard drive for the photos. There is a size limit of 97kb per picture, if a photo is larger you will have to use a program to make it smaller or reduce its quality so it fits.

btw, sry for impeding if you already knew all this

I live in Rocklin, CA AND Fernley, NV.

I've been retired about three months, the wife is still working in Rocklin. We've had the fernley place a bit over two years. Will eventually sell the Rocklin place and live full time in Nevada.

The picture is of me crossing a wash in the ridge above Vernon and Tunnel Camp (Pershing County, NV). We were exploring a side trail as we were crossing the mountain between Vernon and Seven Troughs.

As for not speaking the language: Whenever I've tried attaching photos I seem to draw blanks. First, I guess I need to edit all jpgs down to a more manageable file size. Then do the UPLOAD and then you were mentioning some kind of "after post file management" - - Have know idea where you find some of these things. However, don't worry about it. It looks as if the simplest method is to just post the link and then any interested parties can just click on it and I don't need to do anything special....

you can do that to with the link, but if you want to see the image its very simple....I posted yours without any modification. You already have that photo on your computer somewhere....if not, just right click on the picture and 'save image as...'

When you hit the 'reply' button to reply to this post you will get to the reply screen area...whatever you wish to call it. Once you are there, and see the text box with all of the smiles to the right of it, scroll down a bit. The first big green bar on the page will say 'additional options'. Below that is a smaller box that says 'attach files', in this box there is a button that says 'manage attachments'.

Once you click this, you will get to a screen where you hit 'browse' and then search for that picture on your computer. Once you have found the picture hit the 'open' button and then hit the 'upload' button. Once the photo has uploaded, you will see its name in that box. You can now close that box and hit 'submit reply'.

When you attach a photo it will always appear below the text you have written in the box.

I will attach a photo showing you what I am refering to shortly.

I have decided to hotlink photos instead. These are linked from my personal server so I can have pictures over 97kb.
