I am looking for a factory Land Rover side step/running board for my 1996 Discovery 1. The passenger side was missing when I bought the Disco. With my wife's bad knee she really needs them to climb into the Disco. I can supply a pic of the driver side, or send me a pic of what you have. I will need all the brackets as well for that side. Thanks Mike and Michele T

I have a pair on the '96 Disco I just took in. Let me take a look at the right side to determine the condition. I'll get back to you tomorrow.
Thanks, Paul paulgrant@mac.com |

Thanks paul. There is one bracket left under there, looks pretty bent up, so I am guessing they caught it on something and smashed it up. The drivers side on mine is perfect. Thanks Mike

Between rain drops I ran outside and quicky checked underneath. I should be able to remove the step in the next day or so depending on the weather. I'll get you a photo of the step and we can work out the price then.
Thanks, Paul |

Thanks Paul, let me know. Hopefully a nice (cheap)
price as I still have to get tires and fix the exhaust tick for inspection. Thanks again. Mike

Mike,
I got the right side step off and it is in near perfect condition with not a spot of rust! I can't believe this was a truck ftom NYC! Anyway, it only weighs about 25 lbs. but the size is going to be an issue. I'll work up the cost of shipping and we can discuss the price on the part. I'll get back to you later. Thanks, Paul |

Okay, because of the size, the rate is based on dimensional weight. As it turns out DHL will cost $28.63. With that in mind why don't you amke me a reasonable offer for the step. By the way, it has the front mudflap attached to it as well.

Looks Good Paul!! I dont need that one mudflap as mine just has the stock mud flaps that are notched to go under the running boards and that one is still there. If you wanna hang on it the flap thats fine, either way doesnt bother me as I wont be using it, wont match the others. Does that Disco have a decent tire cover? Mine lacks a cover and I would perfer the spare not be out in the sun all the the time. Also do you have a paypal account or do you want a check via snail mail. Thanks Mike and Michele T

Hi Mike,
I just sold a cool spare tire cover that had a LR Dealer from the UK's insignia on it last weekend. Sorry. I'll pull off the mud flap. It might help to make the box a llittle thinner. You can PayPal me using my email address and I'll get this out to you asap. Thanks, Paul paulgrant@mac.com |
