Hello Folks,I am in need of a 1996 4.0 Discovery I motor, my radiator overflow tank was cracked therefore causing my truck to overheat and destroy the block, the crazy thing was that there were no indications of overheating on the gauges etc., nevertheless a motor is needed, anyone got one they are willing to part with to get me back on the road, or are there any recommendations for a mechanic, and a good used motor source for California (Northern Ca. area)..... Up in Maine:
http://www.eastcoastrover.com/RoverV8.html Good pickings on eBay: Why not check up on this (if the auction is not over): D1 Engine with Warranty auction or Buy it! And finally a Google search if you want to drop in a different engine other than the 4.0: http://www.google.com/search?num=100...on&btnG=Search Good luck on your search. Did you ask at www.carcannibal.com ?? Here look : http://www.carcannibal.com/rover/pages.asp?page=engines Adam in NYC And yes, I have been busy....heh heh. (Not with sheep). |

Living in Cali, if he keeps his truck (subliminal message - sell to me
) he has to remember smog and all that crap too.Well...I might have a new love...Griff has introduced me to monkeys.... seems he has a lot of fun with them when his wifey isn't home. Bit more challenging than sheep but I hear it is worth the risk.... ![]()

Just a word of warning. If, in your search for an engine you come across a thief named Mike Atkinson, run away. The guy went under the name bertbertbits and roverrecyler (?) on eBay. His PayPal account was suspended and he has ripped off many people on eBay. Be careful!!!
