Out of curiosity, why are the rims different on the left and right sides? Those wheels are more than twice the size of the rims on my mini (10") I'd be scared of potholes driving with rims like that.

I have different tastes. But wheels....I am not picky about wheels. I had at one point liked the style of 20"+ Rims on SUVs, then discovered the aspects of how pointless it was to the performance and look of the truck.

Jesse James (from West Coast Choppers) once said on Monster Garage, that if you go with bigger rims, without paying attention to the brakes, you're stupid. BUT it depends on the vehicle. Just an example of mechanical aspects of why 20"+ Rims are just not my style. Especially for Rovers....IMHO it takes the heritage away from the Land Rover thing it was.

I think that the black wheels look fine. Not bling at all. On the other hand, anything Chrome on a european manufactured vehicle looks horrible IMO. I was thinking of mounting the RRS stockers on my Lr3. I think it would improve the onroad handling.

Nothing wrong with having a set of wheels for the street and another for offroad.

I wheeled the piss out of my LR3, it can go alot of places but LR3's need a ton more skid plates, especially the air compressor . Anyway they are very capable LR's, just search "new lowrider suspension" and you can see some pics

Looks good. To any car enthusiast, his or her vehicle is an extension of thier inner self. Like yourself I don't plan on doing much offroading anytime soon on my 99 Disco II.

It's not? The name, landroversonly implies to me it is pretty much. Very few Land Rovers were built with 2 wheel drive and are pretty difficult to find.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I have to admit it is the best looking rover I have seen with wheels on it, just not for me.

Probably one gang on one side of the street, different gang on the other. You can get shot for having the wrong bling in the wrong neighborhood.

LMAO!!!! That's what I was thinking - MTV cribs....

As long as he (driver) likes them, that's what counts.... Why do you (we) think Land Rover made that awful Giverny Green Metallic - someone likes it somewhere....
