We recently purchased a new vehicle and I was given the keys to our old land rover 2000 discovery II and told “here do whatever you want to it”. Finally I got my hands on this thing... We have owned it for around 5 years and I was banned from doing any mods to it because she liked it just the way it was. So I decided to change my current aging play truck with this... I hope to lift it 3 inches add some beefier tires... a roof rack for my kayaks and who knows what else... Today I did my first mod on it... I put a bumper sticker I found in my stuff from a kayaking trip I took to Hawaii a few months back... It’s a good start. LOL what do you guys think?

lol thats not a mod, but at least you have the modification "bug".
what kind of kayaks do you have? I've got a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140 (which i plan on downsizing very soon to a smaller sit-on-top).
i have a hobie mirage revolution, a hobie adventure, a wilderness palamico tandem jobbie.. and a small sit on top for my daughter. I forget the brand name..
here you go. if you have skills it should be easy to make. if not a local fab shop could do it for under $50 i'm sure. make one for both sides, or make one similar to this one that will hold more poles. keeps it all out of the way. photo courtesy of discoveryxd.
as far as stickers go, i only have three, and you can only see one (the rest blend in with the tinted glass. discovery look far better with less stickers.

Those are sweet.. I was picturing something like that in my mind when i transferd all my rods into the land rover.. I wont be making somthing like that my self.. My days of working on cars is over.. I would rather pay to have it done and spend more time on the water and less in my drive way..
nope it was a daily driver the whole time.. minus say the last month since we got a new car.. now its mine to play with.. but then again it was not driven very hard or off road very often...
Why a 3" lift, it won't fit in your garage afterwards and for where you live, that is way over kill.
Go for 2"s and a good set of tires.

I dont have a garage!! and if i did it would be the last vehicle to go into it.. I have 4 cars...in the process of selling one..
Not totally sold on the 3 inch lift yet.. I just want to make sure i have more then i ever need... I dont want to have the same experiance i have had in the past.. were i lift a truck and then a few years later re doing it or adding spacers or pucks to get a few more inches... Who knows what i will end up doing with this vehicle.. It wont be a daily driver i can just have fun with it.. I stopped four wheeling years ago.. who knows maybe i will pick it back up and join a club or somthing...
