Hi Guys,
New to this forum, my name is a Gaelic adaptation of my usual web name Sharky and is pronounced the same, however as somebody else on the forum has the same name I am using Searcaigh here. Currently based in the UAE, and am bit of a Solihul fanatic. Here is one of my trio taken on a short 3 day trip to Oman last weekend.

We have some interesting terrain in this part of the world with some good dunes about 30 mins drive from where I live.
The Empty Quarter on the Saudi Border is 4 hours drive away and is very challenging. The Wahiba Sands is seven hours away plus a border crossing as it is in Oman, certainly worth it but needs three days to enjoy it properly. Incidentally my website is http://www.angelfire.com/trek/freelander/LR.html Our club website (all makes but we have about 25% or so driving Solihul products) http://www.me4x4.com We have a racing team (Team Saluki) who take part in Desert Challenge, part of the FIM rally scene http://www.teamsaluki.com We always welcome visitors and many overseas drivers have come over to Dubai to drive with us. Cheers guys

that certainally looks a great place to hit the sand, I imagine that unlike Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia you do not have to many backpackers who got there drivers license from questionable sources, tearing about trying to see 30 things in one day. Camels as a hazard, that is a novel thought, love to try it one day
