Default Hit a rock, sprung leak on fuel tank !!!

Check out this video on our test course. We were heading over a stone wall and hit a rock against the fuel tank. A rub can be seen on the tank right along a seem. Do i try a repair or get a new tank??? Tom

I had this issue(kind of) with an old dodge I had. I found a company that built tanks, but before I could actually do it a girl destroyed in while it was parked... Could also look into fuel cells!

Depending on how severe the hole/leak is, you could use JB weld to patch it.

Well, now you know why they make skid plates for fuel tanks on Series trucks. Give Rovers North or Atlantic British a call and place an order.

Fun test track. Sorry about your bashed tank though. Good luck with it.

Ike at Pangolin4x4 makes a tank skid that may just be mine proof as well.

Hello. It actually came in from England. However, I did not have it imported. A U.S. Serviceman from Ft. Gordon had just brought it in, along with a mess of parts that he amassed while over-seas. Once in the states, he decided he wanted to buy a house so he tried to sell the Landy on E-Bay...BUT...because of all the spare parts, the buyer would need to fly down to GA. rent a U-Haul...and vehicle trailer to get it home. So that in itself scared people. No Bids were made. After the auction was over, I contacted the owner and made him an offer. he accepted and my son and I flew down to GA. and rented the U-Haul and trailer and brought it back to NH. Fun time for my son and I. Which by the way, has been so far the funnest father-son project we ever undertook. A lot of good times so far and to come. So...good luck with yours and have fun with your dad!!! tom
