This build is comical. I think it should be a Sticky.

Seriously dude, why all the fucking threads? Why not just update your original? You have like 5 build threads now, and they all make your truck look worse and worse. What a fucking hack job.

not too bad. i would have done things differently, but its fine. i am jealous of having on board air for sure!

the only serious problem with ur install is that your CB location will make your rear seats unable to fold down and flip forward.....you may wanna think about relocating it, otherwise consider your seats stuck in the fixed back or folded down position...

how the hell does the blue tooth work with a CB radio?

I guess the guy in the back is going to change the CB channel. I said channel 6 Dan! Chanel 6!!!

I guess the bluetooth might change it as well? With what?

Haha, fuck you. You'd be worthless if you wasn't so amusing. Everything on my truck has been installed professionally and well thought out before even attempting a install/mod.

The location of the CB in no way effects the way the seats fold down. Previous owner actually had one good idea and already had it mounted there.

Bluetooth is used to connect your cell phone to your CB to use it as a hands free device. Automatically connects if you want it to when you get in the vehicle. Also gives you the ability to get a cordless CB mic, or headset for it instead.

Well thought out??? Are you fucking kidding me?

You got single-wide-trailer bathroom floor laminate in the back of your truck, dude. I bet the inside of your truck smells like a condom by now. But reguarless of that, you've got single-wide-trailer bathroom floor laminate in the back of your truck.

You've got a damn First Aid kit in your truck that belongs in warehouse. Not only that, but along with that fire extinguisher mounted to your back door, you've decreased your cargo room substantially. You've successfully taken away 4" of cargo room. That makes all the difference when loading a box, case, or packing for a trip. Huge difference. You would have been a hell of a lot better off with a First Aid kit such as this, or a fire extinguisher mounted like this.

But the way you have your shit mounted is very well though out. LOL. I can see it now, you're the 5th truck in line and someone has just been hit with a broken winchline. You need gauze so you run back to your truck to get gauze. Now you need some medical tape, so you run back to your truck to get some medical tape. Now you need some sterile water to flush a cut......so you run back to your truck to get sterile water. Of course your fat ass could use the exercise, but mounting your First Aid kit to something is a horrible idea. Your first aid kit should be portable so it can be take to the patient. That way all your gear is right there ready to use.

LOL, that piece of shit First Aid kit you have is wonderful, too. I bet when you open the door shit goes all over the place. That shit will never stall stacked in the cabinet all nice and neat once you take a ride. That kit is going to be a fucking mess. However, it will be just the opposite if you had a nice kit designed to be toted away from the office. Look at this kit. This is a well thought out kit for the amateur:

That shit you have reminds me of a construction site trailer office kit.

Then you got that fucking awesome CB. That thing is pretty badass, dude. I love it! I always wanted to connect my cell phone to my CB radio. I love where it's mounted, too. You can almost see it. I guess you'll be able to see it better once that heavy ass POS rips off your console when you hit a bump.

But again, it's mounting right in the fucking way. How is that "very well thought out"? You would have been better off mounting the thing to your dash board. You could at least see it then. I can only imagine what radio antenna you went with. I'm betting a fiberglass firestick or something. Maybe a fiberglass K40. I love it when people get the big trucker radio and then install a fiberglass antenna. They get the big boy radio, then use a fiberglass stick that does not transmit or receive as good as a steel whip antenna. It's all about the radio to them. The echo-board. The power mic. The side-band. Turning up the watts.

So now you've got the lift, the tires, the paramedic dapper dan first aid kit, the fire extinguisher, deep cycle battery, and cheese dick headlights. I guess it's safe to say you're attempting to take your truck of-road. As shitty as it is, and as ill built as it is, I still think it's safe to say your redneck ass is looking to go muddin. Now you got you big boy CD radio with bluetooth. The best option for you would be a steel whip antenna, right? A steel whip antenna such as the Wilson 1000 would be awesome with that big boy radio. Thing is, a steel whip is very dangerous on a 4x4 truck. If you're climbing an obstacle and all your friends are around watching, the steel whip stands the chance of waking someone in the face. I've seen it happen, too.

So, the steel whip is a bad idea in a 4x4. They're too unpredictable when they get to bouncing around. So your stuck with a fiberglass antenna. Since you were thinking about tasteful mods for your truck, and making sure everything was very well thought out, you got the Cobra 29 LTD for its power and will attach it to a fiberglass antenna.

I can't wait to see where you mount your antenna.

But since everything was so well thought out, you thought the CB would be the best option. You probably did not even consider a HAM radio. Either that of you're too fucking fat and lazy to study for the test. A HAM radio, even a cheap one, will out talk that POS trucker-trucker CB of yours even on 2watts. You could have even gotten a hand-held and would not have had to mount it. You would not have to worry about it breaking loose from the console and you would not have had to run all those wires. Your hand-held radio would be able to talk for 20-miles, easy, and if there were a repeater around you could talk for 100's of miles away.

But now you can connect your cell phone to you CB. What the fuck is that all about?? I do not get that one at all. That's got to be some NASCAR type shit right there.

Yeah, well thought out....

Don't you have to get your HAM operating license? Or is that for a different use? I believe you have to test on morse code as well. Could be wrong.

Yes you need a license. No you do not need to learn morse code.

It takes about a half day to learn the material to get your license and it's a 25 question, multiple choice test.

How so? I thought Dan's points were good and should be considered. Also, if you have an electrical fire under the hood or inside are you really going to get out, run back, swing open the door unhook the FE and run back to the fire? That's valuable seconds lost... Where do most fires occur? Even Jeep owners know this....

Correct, so I should mount it under the hood for even quicker response to a under hood fire. Not sure about you, but I don't feel like having a 25lb. fire extinguisher mounted to the base of my seat in the floor board.

i've got my first aid kit within arms reach of me in the door pocket, and my fire extinguisher is in the back seat pocket of the passenger seat, also within reach. the only odd thing i have mounted are 2 maglites, 1 in the front and 1 in the back of the truck.

i've got a kit very similar to what dan posted but i've added a few items which would help me more in the case of a snake bite since I always handle venomous snakes haha

you wont like the first aid kit like that it will not stay organized i know from experiance from what i ever so lovingly refered to as the circus wagon.(company van) i could give a shit about a fire ext. if a car catches on fire frankly i'm going to walk away.
ham is way beter than a cb as you can actually understand what your saying to each other. dans right the test for the tech liscense is only basic electronic questions. only gives you limited bands though. i've had my license for about 10 years.
i try not to bash people's stuff but for the love of god get rid of that vinyl crap.

I wouldn't even consider mounting a compressed canister in the engine compartment with that much heat. Hand's reach. 25lbs? Holy shit, that's a bit much. Please tell me it's dry powder.
