Almost as nice as the Big Block in my Camaro ... until it got stolen.

But really, I wish I could put that in my Rover

I guess you could put it in the back facing the wrong way and get a left hand drop transfer case... Not too much hauling, though.

... and Jaguar put V12s in the XJs but still made it too small to fit the Rover V8 so they "couldn't" be put in there. (Didn't want the parent Co. to cut costs and put it in the XJs)

wait, how does that apply to this?

cheers,
What oil are you using? The second pic looks squeaky clean. Or is it because you just rebuilt it.

yes. It just has the distributor cam and front cover, and this one has no engine management at all. (YAY carburetors!!!)

So there Are ways to get more power out of our engines.. ?

Or with the bosch management system it is pointless.

I saw one in a RRC with 300 wheel horsepower.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDZHRun6h7c

Nobody really does any tuning on them. If you can get 500HP out of a small block with bolt-ons, I don't see why you can't make more power out of the Rover V8. I think it comes down to less performance parts available because of a smaller market for them.

If you could find a radical cam (and tuning for the cam) for the Bosch/THOR, It could be crazy fast, but nobody really makes that...
