Default Land Rover Experience (UK edition!)

Hi all

Just thought I would post a few pictures from various Land Rover experiences I have done (done 4 in total)

The 1st one was back in 2003 when my Dad bought his Discovery

The Second one in 2004. This was Land Rover hospitality at Solihull before being driven to the Motorshow. We were driven around the Jungle course in a G4 Challenge Defender 110 and a G4 Challenge Range Rover

2005 / 2006 Back at Skipton for another Experience day, this was just a taster of the Range Rover (I did half the driving because i had a driving licence this time round!) and then later in the year a Level 1 training course in a Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport (on this one I did half the driving aswell)

(Sory if the pics are too big not familiar with re-sizing!)

Jolly

Thanks for the welcome!

Well the Defender in my signature pic is a 2005 model (my dad owns it), but I am insured to drive it luckily. We dont pick it up until Tuesday though. Will get more pics up once we get it home.

The countryside is lovely round here, I am at University 6months of the year and its allways nice to come home!

I have more pictures of the Experiences, might post some more later!

Nice ones Jolly

If I'm up that way, I often stop at the side of the A65 & watch whatever's going round at Coniston Hall
They used to have a 'Tangiers Orange' Range Rover (like the one if your Motorshow pic)

Was it a G4 spec one or just in the same colours? The 1st set of pics from 2003 was one of those G4 edition Discos they brought out, but since ive been back they only seem to have silver cars now. They have loads there now, 2 range rovers, 2 range rover sports, something like 4 discovery 3's and maybe 2 freelanders (could be more now) Its a good set up down there, got to see loads of routes on the Level 1 full day (only done the half day experiences before hand). Not much mud though unfortunatley!

Here's the album, I'll presume it's from the same production batch as your G4 photo?

I think I was on my way on a day-trip to Morecambe when I took those (to photograph the Midland Hotel) & Devils Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale, you'll find bot on my 'www'

Yeh looks like it is, they do look rather cool dont they?! There is a Discovery that lives near me that the guy imported from Australia (so its RHD) according to one of the salesman at Kentdale Land Rover in Kendal.
It was one of the support vehciles, its fully kitted up with the winches, snorkels etc (even has a V8! ) Looks the nuts!

Interesting that you mention the midland hotel, I dont live too far from Morecambe, about 40mins away. In a village on the Lancs/Cumbria border

Well isn't that a coincidence!
I wouldn't be surprised if I've passed through where you live, if it's on one of the ways into Morecambe/Carnforth/Lancaster

(ie; via Arkholme, Tunstall, Burton-in-Lonsdale, for example)
