Default My 95 LWB's first snow!

So, 5 weeks ago my alpine white/sorrel 1995 SWB was virtually totaled in an accident. I have been in mourning ever since. My Dad bought me that truck brand new when I went to college (wasn't I a lucky gal?!!) I flew from New York to Texas to find a worthy replacement.

This past Saturday, the 1995 LWB I went down to Texas to buy arrived up here in NJ/NY. She looks identical, except for her extra length and some front lights.

Last night a cold front came through NYC, and it started snowing--ok, just a dusting, but enough to make a bit of a coating. The Gulf-Coast girlie saw her first snowfall! (and man, she did NOT like starting this morning in 11 degree weather...)

She's at the shop now, needs brakes (front and rear), water pump, tranny cooler lines, power steering box and lines, the engine may need a re-seal, and the driver's seat ECU needs to be replaced. She's also having a new windshield put in. But when it is all said and done, I will have my white Rover again! A bit longer, with a slightly bigger engine!

And by the way, they gave me an LR2 loaner car at the dealership. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out the ignition switch...

Here are some pix: first of the old gal who "took the bullet for me" (in an accident that took out 8 cars and 4 people, I had no physical injuries). Then of the new girl in the snow (man, I chuckled at the thought of parking a Texas-plated gas-guzzler on New York's Upper West Side for a night; but sure enough, a new HSE had parked right in front of me... So much for "Blue State Values"...)

You were a lucky girl indeed. Nice to see your addiction has kept up through the accident. Welcome to the new arrival.

Well sorry to hear about the accident, But it's good to hear you got a replacement. The back seats in the LWB's are very nice.
