Default My First Landy (Essentially)

Sure, I've 'shared' the Series III with my dad (aka The Colonel) for a coupla' months, but what's the point in owning a Rover if you don't have another one to pull it out?

This 91 Hunter is probably the burliest vehicle I've owned. I bought it last night after hearing word of its existence from Greatdivide at the Winter Romp. Between the badass tires, wrap around bull bar, and roof rack, it's aesthetically everything I'd ever want, save for a couple of Hellas and maybe some brush wires.

It's got its fair share of quirks; the heater only blasts when I turn the wheel sharply, the front passenger door sticks something awful, and the High/Low lever refuses to budge- but, as a Land Rover, I don't think it's supposed to be any other way.

Edit: Added a post-wheeling shot.

nice classic, they are fun trucks. The wiring can be challenging, but if you don't mid a few things not working here and there and you don't overheat the motor she will be around for a long time.

bout time you bought your own and quit leeching off of your dad's rover.

So when are we going to do another meet so your rover and my rover can meet and play together

Looks good Jon! How's the rust situation? If you need any parts, I'm parting out my old '91.

I hugely lucked out with my rust situation, owing to this thing having permanent garage parking. New England showed mercy on it, I guess. Once I start tearing into this thing, I'll be sure to ring you for parts.

They didn't disappoint in the ice/mud/snow combo on our back yard test course, though I'm still waiting to try them in less controlled circumstances.
