I have always wanted a rover, especially a RRC and after looking for ever, I found this one. Payed $900 for it, put a $70 fuel pump in it and drove it home. Everything works exactly as it should. Not much rust, 1 dent, a couple leaks and a well seasoned interior. The tires are no good, but I plan on putting 285s on. I love it. Next on the list is to stop the front diff/axle leak, track down the power steering leak, and a couple maintenance things. I found a reciept for almost $750 worth of new brakes last august, so im good there. Going to go for the 3" RTE kit first, then some bumpers/lockers. That'll do for now. Does $900 sound like a good deal for this-
$900 is probably what those steps cost alone. Those are ARBs and mount to the frame and should provide a tad bit more pretection than your standard steps.
$900 AND you drove it home...thats not a deal...its a STEAL!

I had no idea what those steps were, I thought they were stock...interesting. Thanks for the info!
Im pretty excited about it. I drove it from Louisville to Cincinnati, and loved driving it. The guy originally wanted $1300 for it and I negotiated for $900, so I guess it was a steal!
you stole that thing!!! Great deal, and good lookin. love the parking brake!
Haha I didnt want to risk it rolling into the yard into my dogs...that wouldnt be good. Yesterday I cleaned up the interior the best I could. There was a good layer of dust and dog hair EVERYWHERE. it was pretty bad. Took all the carpets out and pressure washed them, fixed a couple things. I am thinking about repairing and redying the leather seats using this stuff: Color-Plus : Interior Leather Care, Coloring, Repair and Restoration for the Auto Enthusiast
It looks like it would work. I will post some pictures up later today after class.
It rained all lastnight and this morning, and no leaks inside so thats good. Here are a couple interior pics. The pictures make it look a little better than it is. Other than the big rip in the back seat and some broken/cracked wood trim its in decent shape.
Looks great! How's the rust? Buff that gorgeous green paint up and it'll look great!
There isnt much rust at all. There is a small spot of surface rust on the drivers door, the part that goes into the door jamp, the running board has a spot, and there is a spot in the rear wheel well, it looks like it ubolts, where the mudflap connects. That is about it, hardly any. I cannot wait to get it registered so I can drive it around. The tires need to be replaced, they are pretty worn and cracked. I have some BFG AT 285/75/16 on my 2000 Ford Explorer I think I may put on, but may go with MT instead.
I plan on going with a 3" coil spring lift, i know those tires wont fit without it! I want to go with the RTE, but honestly, Im on a budget right now, so I will probably go with the Big Blue and Procomp +2" Shocks. Not the best setup, but it will work for now. With the BB springs and +2" Shocks, what else will I need, extended brake lines?
