you've got a nice truck, but i belive i would have added a spare before i would have done anything else. your really taking a chance, thats just me though
looks good. gotta figure out a way to carpet or bed line that cargo box.
Yeah, it's still in the process of built. Just finished the actual box itself on the 4th of July and haven't really touched it since. Had to keep it short so that I could still have the dog back there. Drawers are as wide and long as the cargo bay itself however so it holds plenty of stuff.

Thanks, and yeah I know what ya mean. I was going to buy a spare tire holder from someone a while back but other things came up and I kind of forgot about it. Will probably start looking for one again here fairly soon.

Yeah, throwing the spare on the rack is usually what I have to resort to when I'm taking a trip or going off road anywhere. Locally though I usually don't have it up there.

Thanks. Hopefully that'll be a while, I enjoy upgrading and modding stuff on it too much. Though... maybe then I'd have money to just take it on trips instead.

Haha, thanks. I try my best to keep any installation of anything I do as clean looking as possible.
The work bench/storage box we built using simple stuff from Lowe's and changing our original plan as needed. I can't remember the exact measurements or specs on the wood used right off of the top of my head, but in general it's just two square flat pieces of fairly thick wood, one top, one bottom. Both cut out to fit in the cargo bay area with a curve at the back of the box to mold around the area where the floor comes up on the sides. With three sections of (I think) 2x6's running the length of the box with two more sections of 2x6 serving as the back of the box and the front, which is cut in two and used for the face of the drawers.
Of-course reinforcing the drawers using 90° angled pieces of metal on all fours sides, since they are holding a lot of weight.
....and.... as strange as it may sound we used only my DeWalt drill (seen in the pics) and a jig saw. We did the whole thing on the 4th of July at a buddies house just for a project. So we didn't have proper tools like we usually do out at the shop.

I See Street Wolf , i do not Mean to bug , but what type of interior Off-roading tools do you have ?
I've got a full 1/4" metric and standard set of sockets, another full set of 1/2" metric and standard sockets, ratchets too of-course as well as a break-over bar. The DeWalt drill with a spare battery and charger running off of my power inverter, case of drill bits, miscellaneous metric and standard wrenches (most used sizes for the Disco), screwdrivers of all lengths and types, wire cutters, tin snips, pliers, a couple different size cresent wrenches, hammer, couple of knives, and I'm sure some other junk. Plus some smaller spare parts, belt, 'SuperSiphon', tie downs, and such.
