Default Relentless RPM Dyno Day- Disco 2 on dyno

disappointing numbers for EVERYONE who dynoed today. the silver Z only got 235 when it should have pulled around 240. the Lighting pulled 373 (last week it pulled 410). and the Rover pulled 177hp and 213 ft/lbs i figured i'd be around 10hp more and about 20-27ft/lbs more. but w/e it was still fun for only 2 runs. i don't have the graph...scanner at home is broke, i'll scan it tomorrow sometime.

sweet. I have a dyno day coming up on the 5th of April. I'll be bringing the audi though, not the rover.

haha i would say a modified audi will be a lot more fun on a dyno than a rover.

Great to see that vid!! Your rover looked better on the Dyno but your mates Z sounded a tad cooler.

Is that at the wheels or based on some conversion back to the flywheel. If it is at the wheels, what has been done to the motor.

thats at the wheels....thats how a dyno works. the only thing i've done is cut off the resonator and put on a magnaflow muffler....realize this is a dynomite muffler as well, its gonna low ball me on my numbers everytime, i wish it was a dyno jet, i would have gotten the numbers i was looking for on it.

My convertor must be wrong then. It said that 177hp was about 135kw. That is what a competition supercharged 4.0 puts out at the wheels. A standard disco would be closer to 90kw. Sorry, but can't relate to HP, only Kw.

Found another convertor and it states that 177hp is 131kw Calculators: Horsepower/Kilowatt Conversions What am I missing here. The engine specs for a 4.0 US spec motor is 182HP at the flywheel, not at the wheels.

There is still something wrong. A reasonably stock 4.6 Diusco is not going to put out 177hp at the wheels. The maximum would be around the 130 HP mark. The graphs are very strange, but not sure why you are getting the readings you are.
