So on 12/9/08 i was on my way to a buddies house here in GA on a rainy night. Took a curve too fast, (my AWD doesn't like wet pavement) went sideways across center line, hit a ditch got airborne a little bit and hit an unlucky pine tree. Walked away from this with a scratch on my left thumb from some glass, just look for my steering wheel... Hard to believe?
glad you're ok as well. it's not that your 4WD system doesn't like rain, it was more likely tires that don't grip well in the rain. then again, you can hydroplane even with good tires.
do you have any more pics?
it seems like tons of accidents and breakages are occuring all over the forums this time of year. thank god i only drive on the weekends, if even then.
K- thank God nobody was in the passenger seat, it was only me in the car. The first thing the cop said when he ran up to it is that he coudn't believe i was standing there beside him right then. I was pretty freaked out but i got some more pictures today i'm about to post. And yes the windshield was separate from the roof. If I'm able to keep the truck i'm gonna want to part out probably just the back half and whatever is good in the motor, but that's a little down the road but i'll let you know. Here's some more pics. Real thankful!
damn man, when the roof separates like that usually the driver's body separates from its head....you're one hell of a lucky guy, someone up there was watching your back for sure.
