2002 Range with climate control stuck on high??

Well I did some searching but did not find much. My 02 Range rovers climate control just got the good old book symbol the other day when my wife was driving it, today I did some investigating and noticed it looks like dye has been placed in the coolant and it is leaking on the passenger floor is saturated. I can adjust the fan speed but the blower on the drivers side just stays a steady pace. Everything works such as the temp and fan speed shows it can be turned up and down but it will not turn down on drivers side. Manual just says bring to dealer but I'm not looking to do this. Any info appreciated.

the coolant on the floor is usually a heater core gone bad. Not sure if the blower malfunction is related to that or if the control module for the climate control is bad.

I put some stop leak in and think I took care of the leak for now. Today I pulled the cabin filters and they were completely clogged with junk. Also the foam in the cowl is pretty much gone. Anyone know if either of these can cause a fault in the system?

clogged cabin filter will not cause the problem you are reporting. you can get leaves and little twigs down into the air ducting, and these will make a lot of noise. potentially they could get sucked into the ac blower motor and stop it, but they could not cause it to only run on high speed.

to me it sounds like you either have a problem with the HVAC control unit or a problem with an electrical component in the system such as a relay.

I think there is test equipment for relays, or you maybe can use basic electrical equipment like voltmeter and potentially a wave form analyzer... im not electrically inclined though...
