Angry 96 range rover tranny

hello , i have a 96 range rover p38 on the trasmission.........have an option sport switch , on the console , well when u press it it will come onn and the lcd on the dash will say sport , but now its stop doing that .........but the switch will come onn , on the console but it wont say anything on the dash why can u help me find the switch on the tranny or what to look for to slove it thanks hani

any chance that message center in the instrument cluster has developed a bad spot so you cant see the "S" being displayed? those things fail - both the message center component and also, more commonly, the illumination behind the message center (cuold be as easy to fix as pulling the cluster and changing a light bulb)

Hi just clean the contacts of the box under the driver seat (this is the electronic management for this specific problem )
