Default '97 R/Rover Brake bleed/flush

Trying to do a brake fluid flush on my 87k mile 4.6.

Problem is, can't loosen the bleed screw on the ABS pump as per the manual.

Can I put heat on it? Or should I just use force and then tap it afterwards if it breaks?

Or do I have to buy a new pump. grrrh.

Input or ideas appreciated.

Do not put any heat to it, use a box end or a socket tool to loosen it up, don't use an open-end tool you'll end up rounding it up. You might try penetrating oil like wd40 or the like.

ALL "BLEED NIPPLES" have matched tapered seats with the hole (bleed hole) within this seat, taper! Any taper, like the wheel nut/stud over time will adhere to its seat. you changin fluid (object of exercise) so "a" little heat, careful of the surrounding area, warm nipple till glowing but check ALL the time what you burning, not putting heat into block just njpple carefully tap the end of nipple squarely, a sharp tap, watching the paintwork that you are now burning (get my drift?) maybe put your socket on b4 you strike
The heat will soften the taper-joint the shock will help release it. DO NOT force whilst red, gentle like yo treat the missus!

Chances r dealer would never undo that screw cos they run pump using testbook and just open calipur nipples ..

You can avoid this by using ignition to run pump ! BUTTTTTTT you need to be careful cos you will end up with ABS fault code.
There are lots of easi-bleed systems on market, invest in one of those and share your new kit costs with your local 4x4 buddies.... You will keep the kit @ no cost to yourself
HOT BRAKES.......?
