Default '97 RR Rear Console Ashtray

Hello everyone!

New here, and have a seemingly stupid NOOB question...

My wife removed the rear ashtray from the center console to clean it out. For the life of me, I can not figure out how that @$%'ing thing fits back in. It's the whole assembly [lid, chromed tray, and the black plastic outside assembly]. There is also a short, 6" rubber strip in attendance, that somehow interfaces with the ashtray and console housing.

I've taken cars/trucks/outboards/etc. down to the 'exploded diagram' level, and put them back together again, but this one has me stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Rob
