Cannot Open Rangy

Firstly hi people!

I have had my rangy for several months now and I discovered that I was sold a one with engine problems which surfaced when I was pulling a trailer...

So discovering I really need a new engine, she has been parked up since.

I am still looking for a new engine however I was just about to go to sleep and laying in bed in dawned on me from nowhere... the battery will be flat and I wont be able to get in to charge it.

soooo.. as predicted next morning, key fob does not achieve anything altho the keyfob light comes on, the car nothing.

So I jacked the car up and got a jump lead onto the starter motor and hooked it up to a battery. Next I could hear some door actuators however no unlocking took place and the key fob still didnt work oh and the indicators flashed too as the battery was connected.



Put a charger on it via the jump lead onto the starter motor and left it to charge to see if it needed more juice for the central locking to work.

now i suppose you wondering by now... just use the key in the drivers door... well some clown had that removed so the only point of entry would be via the keyfob and i believe only one actually would work anyway

I would really appreciate any ideas what so ever as Im lost how to solver my problem(s).
