Default Defroster Not Working Either?

The defroster on my '96 4.0 SE is also broken and does nothing - blows no air whatsoever - when I turn it on.

I ordered a new climate control unit, but if that doesn't correct this issue is there anything else I should try?

Later,
Tom

Blend door motors? Fan units? fuses/relays

If the fans are not running. check the fuses under the hood, if they are good, look for the relays (yellow) and swap them with other relays (same types) in the box. I have seen the fuse box melt under the relays.

You should take it to a shop that can read the codes and see whats not working. A little daig may save time and money in the long run.

Thanks Kevin. You give good advice. I will look at the fuses.

Tom
