I have a 1996 Range Rover with the 2.5 BMW TDI engine. I recently took it into the garage for some repairs and the mechanic disconnected the battery. When reconnecting it alot of faults came up such as windows not set, doors open etc. Anyhow I managed to reset all of them apart from the rear right hand door which insists to be open according to the dash whilst it is closed. Also the interior lights in the car will not go off. Can anybody help me to reset the door?

sounds like the connector might be disconnected. pull the door panel and check to see it didnt come dislodged.

Eventually the problem was on the actual catch lock. If you have a close look at it you will see a piece of plastic which works as some kind of spring. Apparently it broke off and was not pushing back enough the door switch. Had the lock replaced and the problem disapeared.
Thanks Marcos |
