I just bought a 2000 Range HSE. I noticed when I fill the tank up the gauge never makes it to the last notch. It only goes up to one notch prior. Then when I drive for about 1 mile it drops to about a half notch. I drove it until it was in the red and then some. I was able to get about 20.something gallons in it. Is this a gauge issue?
Thanks

most likely but the tank has to be pulled from below.
the part on the pump is separate and should be replaceble. its a little arm with a wire on it.
