Default Locking Gas Cap

Has anyone purchased and/or successfully used an after market Locking Gas Cap? If so, please post brand and model. Evidentially dealerships here in the states do NOT carry or sell them, and when you do a search no after market brands say they are specifically made and/or fit any Land Rover Product.

I have an '08 Range Rover Sport HSE - love it so far.

Default Locking Gas Cap

Yes, I do need a locking gas cap. I have already had about 1/2 tank stolen already. Since my car is higher up than others it is easier for the gas to be siphoned off - laws of gravity. As gas prices continue to rise I think the instances of stolen gas will only increase. Although not a complete dereient I don't understand why the fuel doors in RR in Europe are locked as part of the central locking mechanism - but not for those in the states

and are you sure the fuel indicator is screwed up. We have replaced a few already for being screwd up.

Default locking gas cap...haha

The last post indicated the filler door locks with the central system. NO IT DOES NOT. I just tried it... sorry - with all doors locked -the filler door pops open with just a gentle tap.

Also - my gauges are correct - how do I know someone stole gas from the tank... well how about the security guy saw them.

I tried STANT - they responded very quickly and said that none of their products would fit the RRS

well if no locking gas cap is availible. get a better security system, get a pitbull and chain it to your trailer hitch when you park.

Default locking gas cap.

will a six pound poodle work??? My mastiff isn't that scarey - more of a rather large blob.

The only thing I am concerned about really is when I travel and have to park in an unfamiliar area.
