LR322 "Suspension Inactive" - Land Rovers Only

Hi Guys!

Need some advice on my current problem.

My 2004 RR HSE flashed "Suspension Inactive" the other day while on it's way to the mechanic. Somehow, the vehicle lifted itself to its highest level on all 4s and the LED lights disappeared.

My mechanic has an autologic and used it to diagnose the problem. The fault that keeps coming back has something to do with "articulation". When he tries to calibrate the height of the vehicle, it does not respond. So, he checked the dynamic height settings and found out that the values were all messed us. The LF -20, RF +11, LR -50, RR -80. He was telling me that this may be the cause of the ECU shutting off since the height readings should be close to 0 and that my RR is sending out wild figures. Hence the "aticulation" error.

Anyway, we have been trying to calibrate the height and have been successful in keeping the front at proper level. Unfortunately, once I run the vehicle and hit 60kph, the rear suspension lifts itself to the heighest level and the "suspension inactive" appears on the screen.

I spent the whole day at the shop and eventually left the vehicle with him. It has been a very frustrating day.

I would like to ask for some opinion and experiences, if any, with regard to the same symptoms.

The vehicle is rarely used and has only run 11k kms. This makes everything even more frustrating.

well first if you have an articulation failure and the heights are screwed up, you only attempt a repgrm once.

and even then you look at the heights, raise the vehicle and check for broken heights. take a look for yourself and see if the height sensors are damaged or broken. if they are I would get my money back. If they are not then you need to check the voltages coming from each and every sensor to see if sensor is the problem or there is a bad wire.

that code is really easy to diagnose if you actually know hte vehicle you are working on.

No offense to the guy who you brought it to but if he doesnt know the sytem he might just charge you to learn it. Dealers dont well the smart techs wont. The idiotic techs that dont actually read the info given to them beforehand will try to.
