Default P. Diddy Edition Range Rover

Pretty lame if you ask me...follow the link below.

P. Diddle Range Rover piddle
Newswheel staff :: 18 May 2005 :: Filed under Land Rover, Land Rover Range Rover, US,

Ford and P.Diddy plot pimped-out Range Rover

A “P. Diddy” edition of the Range Rover? Frankly, we’d rather suck diarrhea through a farmer’s sock than drive any car that had been disfigured by such a cynical association, much less the tasteful, discreet Rangie. If the Car Connection’s report is to be believed (and the fact that Ford made an abortive attempt to get Mr. Sean Combs onboard for a similarly P-Diddied Lincoln Navigator lends worrying weight to the story), the car is no doubt intended for the US market. But even in America, can there really be a queue of buyers waiting to offload at least $75,000 on such piddle. If there are, we really don’t want to know.

UPDATE:
It seems likely that the Car Connection bagged the story from Businessweek. In fact, the Businessweek piece is well worth a read if you’re interested in where this whole corporate sponsorship thing is heading.

Unfortunately, yeah. They'll probably add spinners to it.

I heard Ralph Lauren approached Land Rover to do a special edition Range Rover, but they denied him. At least he's a pretty big enthusiast. He owns a whole range of Land Rover vehicles.
