Unhappy P1884, and P0103

Hello everybody, 1999 Range Rover 4.6 HSE, about a month or so ago I replaced my MAS, I took it to the local guy to have the computer reset. My mileage started to gain and everything was fine. I just returned from a 400 mile round trip on interstate......while almost home, I pulled out an floored it to pass a car. The check engine light came on. these are the codes. I had the happen one time before and cleared them myself with a scanner. The same thing caused it also, flooring the vehicle. Anyone have any ideas? the mileage is not what it used to be it is a little lower 16.9 on hwy versed almost 19 before the MAS. Around town it is 12 or 13, when it used to be 14. the downshift doesn't seem like it really gives it the git up and go it used to either. I have checked for loose connections, vacuum leaks, and pretty much am at a loss now. Any help or ideas will be appreciated. BTW running around 102000 miles. Terry

It can mean several things- TPS could have been the cause, as could a few other things. Seems you had a misfire on one cyl too. It could mean an invalid datum from one of several sensors- it's just not that specific.
I'd start by looking at the TPS through an OBD scan tool and watch the value from 1 to 100% throttle. I could see the TPS having a glitch at wide open that you'd only ever see when standing on it- Start with the easy checks and work 'up' from there.

Thanks Muddy Oval.my scan tool will do live data........I will check that. I wondered if that might be part of the problem. I am curious how you knew about the misfire? I didn't really have anything for sure on the 1884 code.

OK ran more test on the vehicle today....I just upgraded my scanner and I actually don't know what most of it means now......hopfully so of you can fill in the blanks for me.
TPS 0% at idle to 72% WOT
what range would the O2 sensors be in?
speedometer off a few miles
very slight advance and idle change 1 degree and 25rmp at idle
it will give me lbs of air
intake air temp around 73 (it was about 45 today outside temp)
also now that I think abou it I did repalce the plugs right after replacing the MAS but before having the local guy reset the adaptave setting or what ever had to be done after the MAS repalcement. The milage REALLY sucked before he reset it.

I did check out the links. thank you.........I bought the whole unit......but I did buy it from Atlantic British. I have cleared the codes and driven it two days now, with no codes? It just doesn't feel right. I though about putting the old MAS back on but I really don't want to keep giving the local guy $65.00 to hook it up to his computer to reset everything. just lost and confused....
