I can walk you through the process; it’s not common for a water leak in a P38 to Damage a Headliner, More likely your Headliner Material had pre-existing problems due to Age and Heat that affected the foam backing.

Please tell me a little about you problems and ill do my best to help you resolve the issues. Bill

I had a sunroof arm break and then the sunroof blind material started to sag and worked it way down the liner.Your prob right on the age and heat, she has 194k and still runs great.
