There is probably a little book on the climate control display down in the lower right corner with an exclamation beside it. Your truck really needs to be hooked up to a Dealer WDS or an autologic to pull the codes, I'm not sure on a Rovacom someone here may know that. But it sounds like you may have a locked up blend flap servo.

while your in there stick your head underneath the passenger side of the dash and look for coolant loss around the bottom of the trim.

if you see any or the floor is wet then its the orings.

but rovermech is right it could be the blend door motors as well. need to have ti checked out.

thankyou.
i have now removed the whole dash for better access to the heater i have found no coolant leaks.and i have also checked the n.s blend motor and that works. i moved the n.s heater box flap by hand and still only got luke warm air through.my next move will be to check the o.s blend motor. do you think there could be a block in the matrix. i have reasantly had the rad changed because of a blockage maybe the matrix is too?

You never did say if the little book was on in the corner of the display. You really need to get that rig hooked up to a computer to check for faults in the climate control. But if the blen doors are all good I have seen a bad heater core temp sensor cause a simular problem.

The heater core temp sensor is on the bottom metal line going into the heater core.,,,blck with a metal clip.

Hi steveo,
You say the rad had been changed recently, its worth double checking to see if you've got an air lock in the system, as this could stop the heater from performing properly, this would give the symptoms that you have, its worth checking out.

Default SteveO, what was the culprit?

You mentioned you put in new O-rings (but mentioned they weren't leaking...good idea to change while the facia is out!) and that you now have heat. You never did say who the culprit was. I was thinking, based on your description of the problem that it wasn't the blend motors you were all talking about (and that you manually adjusted with no change) but rather the "distribution flap servo" since you had partial heat someplace on the left side it didn't seem like it wouldn't be the blend flaps...based on Rave manual fauld diagnosis guide.

I am new to this stuff and am going through same thing only I have no heat anyplace on the left. My Rave manual shows that fault to most likely be the LH temperature servo (which I think is another name they use for blend flap motor). They are a little confusing on that point....is the LH and RH blend servos the same as "temperature" servos?

From what I can tell, there are 3 servos that are attached to the heater matrix.
-LH temperature servo (aka blend?)
-RH temperature servo (aka blend?)
-Distribution servo (only 1)

There also appears to be (not part of heater matrix);
-LH fresh/recirc. servo
-RH fresh/recirc. servo

Making a grand total of 5 motors that can go bad. Obviously most of them need to be replaced with entire facia out.

It looks like my culprit is most likely the "LH temperature" (AKA LH blend flap) servo as the entire left side of vehicle blows cold only. It is on the left hand side of Heater matrix and I am hoping there is a way to replace that under the dash as opposed to removing it. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
D
