i have a 96 4.6 hse. last november i had the water pump replaced and haven't had any problems since. other than it will run a little warm in the florida heat. until now...
sitting still with the engine off it holds coolant just fine. i'll crank it up and let it run until it hits a normal running temp, no problems there. then it seems it would hit a certain temp and then start pissing coolant, so i thought thermostat. i replaced it but i am still getting the same prob. i drove it to work this morning and the coolant held fine until i shut off the truck. i'm having a real hard time tracing the leak. it is dripping from the rear of the oil pan. any advice, or anybody have a similar problem? thanks for any help.

Also check under your throttle body. There's a gasket there that will leak eventually. It'll leak onto your driver's side valve cover. Sometimes leaves a pink dry residue build up.

i replaced it with this one.
http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PEM101130.cfm does it sound like the thermostat could still be the issue.
