Default Ranger Rover Sport Battery Charging

Whilst we are away our 2007 Range Rover Sport will not be driven. We have thought of merely disconnecting the battery whilst we are away but have been advised that this may cause problems with the electronics once we reconnect the battery. Our dealer has specifically advised against a trigger charger device for the battery. Any other suggestions please?

A quality battery maintenance charger will work just fine. Not simply a trickle charger, they charge as needed to maintain battery voltage. Be sure to buy a good quality one, you definitely get what you pay for.
