Default Removing roof rack

Does anyone know how to remove the factory roof rack?

I have a '02 RR and it looks like there are some funny hex screws with a pin in the middle holding it down.

Default Whole thing including the rail?

If you are removing the whole thing with the rail, it might need rubber grommet to patch the whole in the roof.
I once removed roof rack from 97 Disco I and bought 2" rubber grommet and plugged the hole for the rack on the roof.

Do you know of any sources where I can get the hex tool to remove the screws on the base? I lost mine.

Default Security Hex nuts

I believe those are the security hex nuts or bolts used to prevent theft. You can get a set from AUto Zone or also I have seen from Sears Craftmand Catalog also. I believe these have a little hole on the center of the socket to fit in the bolts with pin.

'02 Range Rover. Is that a P38 (the last year they were made) or an L322 (if you don't live in the States?

P38 uses those integrated into the roof design.
