I have a 1999 Range Rover 4.0S and I noticed that it is running rougher than normal. I don't really notice while driving. I did have the RPM's jump a little while at a stop light but stays at about 900 RPM while in drive (stopped). In park though, the RPM's are between 1500 and 2000. I did open the hood and make sure that all the plug wires are on good.
Let's just say it is running like it is dead winter and I am just starting it in the morning.
If its running rough, and the plugs and wires are fine, try cleaning out the throttle body, MAF sensor, TPS sensor. These things could could a rough idle. Did your check engine light come on, or any faults at all?
you need to get fault codes read mate. could be any of the sensors nick mentions and/or knock sensors, lambda sensors, a jammed cat, poor ignition from coils......
