Default RRS 2008 Adaptive Head Lights

I just bought a 2008 RRS and was wondering if anything had changed with the adaptive headlights. I had a 2006 RRS and when i turned on the ignition the healights would recenter themselves. Nothing happens in the 2008 and I was wondering if something was wrong. Thanks.

Turn the headlights on in the dark and turn the wheel. Or swerve (slightly obviously) while driving down a road. Should be able to see the lights "follow" the steering wheel.

i believe the adjustments when you start the vehicle is the self-leveling mechanism. i've got xenons in another vehicle and i'm certain its got self-leveling on there too. to me it always looked like an up/down adjustment. it should work the same. i've got an 06 and i don't always see the lights going thru the leveling. i was always on the assumption that there was nothing that caused the mechanism to level.

now the adaptive headlights are more of a slight left/right tilt when you turn. i notice it most inside a parking garage going up/down the ramps or if you've every offroaded at night, it's easily noticeable on switchbacks.
