I like it. Probably was a lot easier than what I did too, haha.

This is probably the best info I have seen for replacing your headliner. Go to the address http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/headliner.html and at the bottom of the page click on the "P38 Headliner Page" word document (download). Hopefully this is not too late for everybody.

the finished product looked great on the word document, unfortunately it probably won't last like that. With just glue the headliner will most likely start to sag again. Also, it looks easy to take it out, and he said it was, but that really isn't true. If you ask anyone who has done this they will tell you getting the headliner out and back in is no walk in the park. To hold my headliner up I have the glue that I used, along with very small pins that can't be seen.

Headliners are time consuming... yuck. Why not just have it recovered by a pro? If you tell them it's already out, they'll quote you a cheap price- they hate pulling them too and you did the hard part. I had one covered for $89 show quality because I did the grunt work. Dynamat that roof while it is apart- it makes a HUGE difference.

Headliner Express in Central Florida does all the Headliner & Sunroof Repair for
Several Landrover Dealerships in Florida for the last 13 years. On the series models you need to make sure the 64 inch width material is used to completely cover the corners as well it needs to be the 1/8th inch thickness as original not the 1/4 inch in which other shops use which is to thick and not wide enough. For those looking to tackle the job their self’s here is a link for the correct material that needs to be used. www.HeadlinerExpress.Com

Hi 98 RRover,

I’d like to retrim my door pillars. I did the A pillars (windscreen) with alcantara. Looks awesome.
I wanted to know how did you take the B and C out? Rave Manual isn’t very precise on this topic.

Cheers

Flo

Tools needed: 17mm wrench & socket

Remove Plastic Trim cover that hides the 17mm Nut on the "B" & "C" Post
Remove the Nut
Remove the Trim Molding and Recover
RE-Install

Let me know if i can help answer any other Questions. Bill
