Stereo Change
I would like to change the HEAD UNIT for a new Alpine DIN unit.
Does anyone know which models are compatible due to the DSP. I know that the DSP cannot have speaker power but just the signal as the DSP and on board amps take care of the rest. Also my brother changed his head unit 2 years ago and could not get the steering wheel buttons to work. Does anyone know if someone has come up with the cure to this problem? Appreciation in advance. When I changed out the crappy Phillips unit that came with my Discovery with a Clarion, I didn't try to hook up to the original buttons and simply rely on using the remote. The buttons that became obsolete can be used for operating extra accessories.
