strange sound on my 06 RR SC

I just got this thing on Friday and while trying to figure out why the DVD won't play up front, I kept hearing a faint alarm sound. I assumed it was form outside but we live in a secluded area and there was nothing.

Then I realized it was coming from inside the CAR!

Sorry for the drama.

Is there a weird, faint alarm-like sound in anybody else's RR?

Also, I still haven't figured out why the DVD won't play on the nav screen, it's says it's playing with the engine off and in Park, but I have a black screen.

any help is appreciated,

On all 06 land rovers with dvd, front screen video has been disabled in North America. Nothing you can do about it.
