Hi everyone, I have a 2001 HSE Range Rover/LandRover. The front drive line went out the other day at 60mph leaving me, my wife and son stranded. I got it loaded on a trailer and sent to a local shop as there is no RR dealer/mechanic in our area. And after looking at the options I went with the mod drive line that has U joints not the factory rubber gasket. anyway they changed the drive line and all was going well till they took it off the rack and the truck is in Low range and will not come out. i mean I have tried everything.. short of taking the gear box apart. Is there a way to manualy put the transfer case into high? Thanks

Did you try idling under 5 mph on a level surface, putting it neutral (still moving) then putting the truck in High gear? I believe that is what it says in the manual. goodluck.

Or maybe try asking in the Range Rover section.

On my 97 HSE, I replaced the transfer case and it would not shift out of High gear. Turned out that the motor on the side of the case was bad. I took my old one and put it on, and everything worked again. Check the motor and also the electrical going to it.
