Default Tires for my 2006 Range Rover Sport

After almost getting stuck in the sand with my original Continental tires, i purchased a set of used rims. I do think the continental tires are great in the summer time in wet and dry weather, however i don't trust them for off-road and more importantly snow.. I am look for a good snow/winter tire for the rims i purchased. I'm don't want anything that is to stubby and truck looking, but something that would get me through the winter and heavy snow. Any suggestions on tires. I have the 19" rims.

Thanks

the Pirelli Mud and Snow tire gets great reviews, and if you want a true winter only snow tire, check out the Bridgestone Blizzak.
