Default VANDAL`S the little sh**`s & my alam!

Why is it as soon as you get some thing nice some little sh*t comes along and instead of looking and thinking now that`s nice wish i had a lovly looking 96 range rover.Wonder how long it took to save up for that?
Well it took me two years mate! & thanks for ripping of my drivers door mirror just for the fun of it.Only cost me £90. to replace. If only i could thank you in person !!!!!!!
Now my alam. How can i find out if it is working or not.As i never herd it go off! This is my first range rover so have no ref to go by. When i lock her up by fob or the old way by key. The only thing that happens is the red LED sets up flashing fast at first than slows down. NO beeps or flashing indicators. Is this the norm? If you can help please do. Ow and if you see my new freind say hi for me.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your Range Rover.

As far as testing the alarm try this: Sit inside the car, set the alarm and open the door. If the alarm doesn't go off it's probably not working.

roll drivers window down, get out, close the door, lock the truck, and reach inside and unlock it. Alarm should go off.

Do not confuse the factory security system with an aftermarket alarm. Mostlikely, your factory security system is not outfitted with a shock sensor. If someone smacks, kicks, or brakes a window in your rig, the alarm will not go off. If a burgler/vandal/douche bag brakes your window, your alarm will not trigger. If this above mentioned scum then reaches in and unlocks the door without disarming the alarm from the factory remote, then the alarm will trigger.
Would have been worth it just to catch this motherless f$%#! I had one of these peices of shit brake into one my disco show vehicle. After doing about 10k of damage, I chased him about 20 blocks, tackled him, gave him a few licks, and held him down. When the cops arrived, they found the clip to my 45 in his pocket. He was a convicted felon (go figure) so he got 60 months for being in posession of a firearm. Karma is a bitch!!!!

Only 5 years? In Florida he would have gotten 20 to life as a convicted felon carrying a firearm in the commission of another felony.

Glad you caught the dirtbag anyway!

Default alarm problems

I am sure that if someone breaks the window the alarm will go off If you super lock the rover by pressing the lock button twice. There is a sensor above the drivers head at the door that will sense any movement or sound in the vehicle.
