Default What is this?

I noticed recently that the previous owner if my 2000 Range 4.6 has rigged this item with zip ties. What is this part? Something to do with A/C?

lol its your secondary air injection pump... the zip ties are there probally there to keep the hoses on or the rubber mounts are broken....

Hi , it starts automatically when you push fully the gas pedal on hi RPM .

wtf is secondary air injection anyway?

Yellow -the mounts were broken on mine when i got it. i bet this is your issue too and is why its cabletied on there. dealer has them - it takes 3. I think they are like $5 ea.

lol its to help lower your emmisions when cold by feeding air into the exhaust system and egr system...
