Default What's my problem?

I searched the sites for my problem but couldn't find the exact problem so please be patient with me. My 00 Range 4.6 started idling real rough today. Under hard accelration it seems to do ok, but when cruising the motor seems to shake a lot. I say shake becouse I can't hear it but can feel it through the wheel and pedal. The Tach jumps around a little and you can feel a little loss of power. I figure it is miss firing. My father (A Chevy man) believes it's a sign of plugs or wires. What do you guys think? I appreciate it and please don't beat me up for not reseaching the sites. I always do. I only ask when I don't feel as though what I find fits my situation.

Thank you..

Does it throw any codes? I would start with by reading the codes. but if you think it needs wires and plugs, wash it down while its running to see if it changes.

also, look at the wires and look for a tell tale sign of white chalky substance on the end of the wire at the plug, see that and the wire is bad.
