Default 03 Oil Pump Pins

I can't find where, but I thought I read that these pins causing a misaligned pump can be removed and the cover reinstalled, assisting in a proper alignment? Did I read this right? Is it truly a possible thing to do?

Plus: Have to replace heater blower, making a vibration, is there anything to watch out for?

How hard was it to remove them?
Also did you see any signs of damage?

Default Oil pump issues

The point is, it may not be a pin problem. You need to read the earlier comprehensive post on Oil pump pressure problems.
