99DII. Took it down to AutoZone & Advance Auto. Both confirmed the alternator is putting out low voltage. Brushes/Regulator probably. Since I'll be replacing it, will the 150A version work in place of my 130A? Gives me a little more to choose from as well as a few more amps.

Rover never offered a 150 amp alternator. If the auto parts store rates theirs at 150 and it is otherwise the same, I can't see why you couldn't use it. What are they charging for it and what is the warranty?

I ended up ordering the Valeo from BC - will post how it goes. Amuses me how all OEM brands for RR / LR are so expensive - yet the basic components are the same as an AC Delco or whatever that they put in Fords....
