Angry 2000 Disco II rear hidraulic fail

Recently while driving my 2000 Disco II I noticed white fumes coming out of the hood. Seems like some liquid leakage leaking onto the exhaust. The following day I noticed the rear lowered down and the rear hidraulics to raise the rear does not work any more. Any idea what causes this?

Your rear doesn't have hydraulics to lift it. If you have SLS it has air bags.

As stated above your D2 has air suspension in the rear and most likely one or both of the airbags have leaks. Worst case the compressor went out that pumps the air to the air bags.

The two seem to be unrelated, there was a recal for leaking ACE lines, this maybe your hydraulic problem.Get it fixed if it is the ACE leaking, it can set on fire.
