Default 2004 D2 vs. 2004 Range Nav System?

I was able to pick up another 2004 Discovery a few months ago, an HSE this time around, and had a few questions about the head unit for the stereo/nav system. The stock nav system in this year seems incredibly impracticle and next to impossible to use on a regular basis. At first I though ok... just set it to spit out coordinates in the "nav area" of the screen, but it won't do that unless in Nav mode. I suppose I could ignore it, but that seems a waste of space and a perfectly good integrated GPS antenna.

The same year Range Rover has a color touch screen with a nice interface.

They look about the same size... will the navigation/stereo from a Range fit in place of the one in my Disco? Are there major/minor changes to be made in wiring this, or even better... will it just plug right in? Anyone ever try this?

TIA.

There five grand plus and its the difference between a BMW model and LR one.

Don't bother. The Mark threes RR were apples to oranges compared to the discos. The only thing they shared was the center caps.

Yes, the HK/Becker unit.

Heh, glad I checked first. Is it easy to use the existing integrated GPS antenna with another system, or am I SOL on this front?
